in a college paper, students might use some citations to improve their essays.  there are six reasons why they cite. first of all, Attribution serves as a fact-checking tool. it can ensure the fidelity of a passage. secondly, Citation makes people a better researcher. the good citation habits should pay attention to detail and build connections.  thirdly, Good citation practices make you a better writer. When people cite sources properly, it's easy to get a strong conclusion. fourthly, A good bibliography shows off your scientific knowledge. a widely read and credible science information can win more appreciations.  fifthly, Careful citation practices will build your credibility as a scientist or scholar. The better documented your research and arguments, the more credible writer you are. the deeper research can help the scientists more in their field. finally, Citation enables better verification of your work. it becomes more simple when the publisher goes through your articles and references, and your paper is much more likely to be passed through the editing which is good for everybody. 

to avoid plagiarism,   we have to give credible sources and cite them in our paper. be careful and detailed about, because if you do not finish it; you are in a big trouble. if you are taking someone’s exact words and putting them into paper, you must cite them. or we should write in our original words. also, the incorrect information about the source is plagiarism. and students must cite all sources used in writing but you do not need to cite common knowledge. 

academic dishonesty is Cheating, Fabrication or falsification, Plagiarism and so on. warning first and the person will be sent a charge letter and will be required to come in and meet with the office. to prevent academic dishonesty, students should use citation and plagiarism tools or go to the library ask for help.
